I love the question if you could be anything in the world, what would it be? This is so much easier to answer when we are young, before we start living the daily grind or all our baggage catches up to us.  At least that’s how I remember it.

I envisioned being the first woman president of the United States.  In 5th grade, that was my plan. Well, it hasn’t happened…yet…but in the meantime I do a bunch of fun role playing that makes me feel just as powerful without actually having to deal with the scandals and scrutiny of such a position; it’s a win/win.  Do I still have that dream today?  Not so much.

Once I got into athletics however, I realized that my ambitions were not so fleeting.   As a teenager, I connected with the world on a physical level.  I got into Ice Hockey and Martial Arts and just couldn’t get enough.  Seeing my own potential, I only dreamed and strongly desired a chance to go professional or Olympic on a physical level.  At that time in my life my dreams did not manifest as such, but that hasn’t for one second changed my internal drive to go after what I want.  A rocky road, yes.  An impossible one, definitely not.

My purpose here is to document my passion, my life and my adventures.  To give back and help where I can, as well as inspire others to achieve greatness, live fully and never forget your dreams.

Be the change
